It comes down to this:

"to those who fear Him there is no want." Psalm 34:9
"they who seek the Lord shall not be in want of any good thing." Psalm 34:10
"No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly." Psalm 84:11

So.

Either...
1) I am not fearing Him and walking uprightly, 2) I am not seeking Him, or 3) "this" is not a good thing for me (at least right now).

Because...
1) He is good, and 2) He doesn't lie.

  1. I've thought about this too...the 3rd point is the hardest for me to see; the "good" that I think I need and want, how is it not good? And how can what I call "bad" be good? It calls for faith in the God Who IS good and only does good...and Who LOVES me. I read something beautiful along these lines recently: http://kissesfromkatie.blogspot.com/2011/03/i-am-so-old.html
